SAFETY

Your safety comes first.

Peer listening can be a comfort, but it is not emergency care. Please read this page, especially if things feel very hard right now.

If you are in danger or thinking about ending your life

Please contact someone who can help right now. Do not wait for a booking with us.

If you can, tell someone you trust, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. We are checking and expanding this list of helplines.

What listeners are

People who have been verified and have agreed to our Code of Conduct. They listen without judging, and they are not there to fix you.

What listeners are not

Listeners are not therapists, counsellors, doctors or emergency responders. They do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or give medical advice.

What happens if a listener is worried about you

Listeners are asked to follow our safety process if they believe you may be in danger. That can include encouraging you to contact emergency help and informing our safety team.

Reporting a problem

If anything in a conversation felt wrong, disrespectful or unsafe, you can report it after the session. Our team reviews reports and can restrict or remove listeners.

Your privacy

We do not record conversations by default and we try to collect as little sensitive information as possible. Our privacy page explains more.
